Do you know someone who wants to be a quilter? Do you need to brush up on your basic skills? This is a class that is geared to the beginner, taking the new quilter from fabric selection, through the cutting process, sewing blocks, putting the blocks together into a quilt, layering the quilt, quilting the quilt and applying the binding.

Our applique expert, Bonnie Lopez, will be available to assist you with these blocks as needed, so if you would like to participate in the block of the month then you will have the following dates to receive help with your applique turn into a stunning collage quilt.

Have some unfinished quilts laying around that you are stuck on? Bring them to this 4-session class, and Linda will help you take that UFO into a finished quilt! Each week will focus on a technique, from squaring up a quilt to adding borders, to quilting and binding.

This class will show you how to fuse and machine stitch your applique pieces. A supply list will be provided, and you will be able to choose the project you wish to work on.

Instructor Linda Kohn will show you the basics of paper piecing, and how it can allow you to achieve sharp points.

In this class you will learn to quilt loops, curves, designs, free motion straight lines and simple stipple by using your home sewing machine. Each student will learn to follow simple designs, will quilt a feathered wreath, plus learn how to ditch stitch your quilts free motion.

Projects to be announced

Tuffets are the big thing right now! You know you have been wanting to make one of these, so join us for the fun. You get to sew and play with power tools! You will feel like you have elevated your sewing skills to a new level. Once you make one you will probably be addicted and looking at fabrics with room decor in mind! Kit includes feet for tuffet, pre-drilled base, button to cover and upholstery foam. Please note: for this class you must call the shop and reserve a kit and pattern so we can purchase the correct number as we have very limited storage space for these.
